Download iCal FileI Am Rohingya, based on the award-winning play, follows the journey of fourteen Rohingya refugee youth who, despite having never acted before, take to the stage in order to perform a retelling of their families' experiences in Burma (also known as Myanmar) as victims of genocide-one of the most underreported humanitarian crises in the world today. The film takes audiences through the personal lives and struggles of these youth as they adjust to their new lives in Canada, also exploring the harrowing memories of the people considered to be "the most oppressed people on Earth."
