Congratulations to Dr. Michael Jin and Dr. Laura Hostetler for receiving the 2018-2019 UIC Institute for the Humanities Fellowship.
Laura Hostetler is a Professor in the Department of History and Global Asian Studies
and will be working on a project entitled “Bridging Worlds: Narratives of Cultural Encounter in India”
Michael Jin is an Assistant Professor, Department of History, Program in Global Asian Studies
and will be working on his book project, “Citizens, Immigrants, and the Stateless: The Making of a Japanese American Diaspora in the Pacific”
