Demands from Asian and Asian American Students | April 20, 2021
This letter addresses the recent rise in violence against Asian and Asian American communities within the past year along with the ongoing violence against people of color by the police and military. Moreover, this letter addresses UIC’s claims of supporting diversity and inclusion and challenges UIC to genuinely act on these claims by implementing the demands provided below and the Juneteenth UIC Student Demands levied by the Black Student Union and Black Graduate Student Association.
