Video: GSAB Event Teach-in on Student-led Movements
The GLAS Student Advisory Board co-sponsored a Teach-In event with AnakBayan that connected student-led movements in the Philippines to the Third World Liberation Front and to what is happening on campus with student-led movements. Touted as excellent—well organized, coordinated and presented—the video of the event is now available for viewing.
The students did well to make these connections and it was also very clear that there is an effort to link various student-lead movements together. They also spent a portion of their session “grading” UIC and that exercise can be best captured by what one of the student organizers said in relation to the resources that the campus is providing them: “These resources may exist but it doesn’t mean that they are meeting the needs of students.
