Fall 2023: GLAS 242—Introduction to Arab American Studies

We are not Numbers: Students are required to work with a partner to work in a team of two students and to produce a five video about the experiences of Arab American students at UIC.
Together, they were required to build a relationship based upon trust, mutual respect and accountability with an Arab American student at UIC over a period of time and to then interview them about their experiences. The students were required to illustrate their comprehension of three course concepts from the field of Arab American Studies in the video and in a written reflection about the video. Some students who were interviewed chose to remain anonymous. Therefore, only their voices can be heard.
