Asian UIC student giving her testimonial

“As someone who came from a small high school of fewer than 600 students, I initially felt overwhelmed in UIC’s undergraduate population of 18,000 students. In my classes that regularly had over 300 students, it was easy for me to feel as if I was another statistic. However, through the GLAS courses, I encountered mentors who empowered me to switch from passively attending class to actively working to benefit the students at UIC and the surrounding Chicagoland community.”
