The Biden-Harris Administration Celebrates AANAPISI Week 2022 (video)
Sept. 29, 2022
On September 29, 2022, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders the White House Office of Public Engagement hosted a virtual event to commemorate AANAPISI Week 2022, convening Administration officials, students, educators, and advocates in celebrating 15 years since the establishment of the Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI) program. AANAPISIs have played a unique role in supporting thousands of low-income, first-generation AA and NHPI students.
Our UIC AANAPISI Initiative Pacific Islander Student Outreach Coordinator Kekulalani (Keku) Keauli`i participated as a student panelist. Please note the correct pronunciation of Kekulalani Keauli`i's full name: Kekulalani (Kay-koo-la-la-nee) Keauli`i (Kay-ow-lee-ee).
