Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs honored Dr. Anna Guevarra, GLAS program director, for her outstanding commitment in education based on her “many years of hard work in the field of education and educational research in the state of Illinois,” as well as her “contributions as a mentor to students to UIC.”
She was recognized on May 15, 2019 during the treasurer office’s annual event to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
