DAY OF REMEMBRANCE
February 19th - Time for Action

February 19 marks a "Day of Remembrance and Time for Action" for the Executive Order 9066 that led to the incarceration of more than 120,000 Japanese Americans beginning in 1942. Check out the following events taking place at the Chicago Historical Museum featuring two film screenings, panel discussions, and a youth program facilitated by one of our GLAS faculty members, Karen Su, and her ongoing project to tell the story of Yuki Llewellyn, the girl pictured in the Clem Albers photo, waiting to depart for the Manzanar Camp.
