Karen Su is a 2022 SCBWI Many Voices Prize Recipient
Prof. Karen Su, Clinical Assistant Professor of Global Asian Studies and AANAPISI PI/Project Director received the 2022 Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) IL Many Voices Prize for her work in progress children’s book, The Best Surprise.
The Many Voices Prize recognizes an exemplary Work-In-Progress from an SCBWI-Illinois member.
Karen Su has been at UIC since 2004 and was the founding director of the Asian American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC). She established many of the first Asian American Studies initiatives through AARCC before ASAM became an official program in 2010.
