Karen Su Receives 2023-2024 UIC Teaching Recognition Award
Congratulations to Prof. Karen Su for being awarded a 2023-2024 Teaching Recognition Program Award at UIC.
This award recognizes a faculty member's teaching excellence- documented by the impact of their teaching and mentorship on student's learning experiences and achievements, the effectiveness and quality of their pedagogical approaches and course materials, and their role in a department's curricular development.
Karen Su is a Clinical Associate Professor and was the founding director of the Asian American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC). She established many of the first Asian American Studies initiatives through AARCC before ASAM became an official program in 2010.
