Congratulations to Themal Ellawala for receiving the 2024-2025 UIC Institute for Humanities Resident Graduate Scholar Award for their dissertation project, “When Ephemera Bind: On Negative & Positive Space and Queer Relationality in Sri Lanka.”
Themal is the GLAS graduate teaching assistant who taught GLAS/GWS 263: Asian American Gender and Sexual Diversity during the Spring 2024 semester.
