Requirements for the Minor in Global Asian Studies
Students who want to minor in Global Asian Studies must complete 15 semester hours, including 3 semester hours at or above the 200 level (exclusive of GLAS 300), and 3 semester hours at the 400 level.
Required Courses for the GLAS Minor:
- GLAS 100—Introduction to Global Asian Studies (3 hours)
- GLAS 300—Global Asia in Chicago (3 hours)
- Three additional courses, one from each of the three categories below, one of which must be at or above the
200 level and one at the 400 level. Specific courses can be chosen in consultation with an advisor.
Categories: 1) Asian America, 2) Asia, and 3) Global and/or Comparative Asia (9 hours)
